The Eric P. Kindwall Award recognizes individuals whose careers demonstrate sustained contribution to hyperbaric medicine through areas such as education, clinical practice, research, leadership, and professional service.
Dr. Eric P. Kindwall was a physician, educator, researcher, and early leader in hyperbaric medicine. He also served as the first official Executive Director of ACHM.
The Ken Locklear Visionary Award is presented by the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and passion for the field of hyperbaric medicine.
Established in 2012, the award was named in honor of Ken Locklear, whom ACHM remembers as an educator, innovator, leader, entrepreneur, and visionary in the field of hyperbaric medicine.
