MACRA Update

CMS has changed their exemption criteria for complying with MACRA to help the physician in small practices. Physician practices with less than $90,000 in Medicare revenue or fewer than 200 unique Medicare patients per year would be exempt under the new draft rule that was recently released by CMS. This is a good move as it seems that CMS is hearing our concerns. CMS administrator in the statement acknowledged that they want to minimize the burden of too many quality programs, technology requirements, and measures that can come between the doctor and the patient.
